Rocket Men – Marines Shoulder Fired AT-4 Anti-Tank Weapon

The AT4 is an 84-mm single-shot anti-tank weapon used by the U.S. Marine Corps. It is designed to give infantry units a means to destroy or disable armoured vehicles. And although it is generally not sufficient to defeat a modern main battle tank, it still packs a powerful punch. After firing, the AT4 is discarded because the outer tube is built to take the stress of only one firing – it is not reusable.

Marines assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), train with the AT-4 light anti-armor weapon during a familiarization and live fire exercise at Fort Pickett, VA – Sept. 17, 2012.
