Helicopters Fly The Barn – Fly In Mass Formation


A squadron of CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters “Fly The Barn” over San Diego on March 31, 2014. Fly-The-Barn means to take off in unison and fly in mass formation.

After 47 years of flying the CH-46, U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 364, “Flies the Barn” taking off and landing in unison and flying in a mass formation, signifying the end of the CH-46 service and the transformation over to the MV22 Osprey.
