Coastal Command Boat – U.S. Navy Patrols Bahrain Waters


A new U.S. Navy, Coastal Command Boat (CCB) patrols the waters near Bahrain in the Persian Gulf on 2/26/2014.

The CCB is the first and only vessel of its kind, with increased payload capacity and better capabilities for maritime blockade and interdiction operations, sea port defense, sea lane control, and other waterfront and coastal maritime missions. The CCB can reach speeds in excess of 35 knots or more than 40 mph.
